SMALL habits to start today to reduce your risk of Type II Diabetes!

To celebrate National Diabetes Month, I wanted to share some simple tips to help reduce your risk of type II Diabetes. These may also help reduce the progression of the disease. (disclaimer: none of these tips are to take the place of your doctor’s recommendations. These are not intended to treat the disease.   1. MOVE! Physical activity greatly helps reduce risk of DM II. Exercise helps to reduce your glucose levels & to decrease your body’s insulin resistance. Take small steps towards this goal. Keep hand weights beside your couch, take a walk during your lunch break, or try out a local exercise class.  Also, my “6 Week Shred” program gives you specific day by day exercises for any exercise level to help you reach your fitness goals.
